For a family-friendly afternoon in Malibu this Easter, Trancas Country Market welcomes guests to celebrate spring with fun, themed-activities, giveaways, and surprises. This year, there will be two Easter egg hunts hosted by Vintage Grocers and SweetBu Candy Co. Vintage Grocers will have an in-store hunt with coupon-filled eggs and there will be one “golden egg” for a curated gift basket prize, and at 1 p.m., the two stores will have a hunt on the courtyard lawn with candy-filled eggs and a number of “golden eggs” that will carry SweetBu gift cards. Sweet Bu will also have a variety of Easter-themed treats available in store. At Shine Beauty Collective, the store will have special bath bombs with a hidden chickadee inside that winners can claim for another bath bomb. In addition, Vintage Grocers and Chabad of Malibu will be hosting a matzoh-making and springtime arts and crafts table for kids. Starbucks is setting up a table out on the lawn offering complimentary coffee and passion tea for the kids.

We will not be hosting an Egg Hunt this year, but loved it when I was little. At the age of 5 or 6 years old, my mom who loved to sew, made the most beautiful Easter dress and embroidered a bunny on it holding a basket of eggs. I totally loved that dress and was overjoyed when my own daughter fit into it for an EGG HUNT we threw at a local park two years ago. All the kids had the most amazing time looking for eggs in the grass and one of these days, we will plan one again. I just think every child needs to experience the joy of going on an Easter Egg Hunt.
