Summer Infant-Wide View 2.0 Digital Color Video Monitor

A Registry Must-Have

March 7, 2017

A great baby monitor is on (or should be) on every new parent's registry. There are literally hundreds to choose from today with so many amazing options. When my boys were babies we had a tiny little grainy black and white screen and could hear the baby but also all kinds of other conversations in the neighborhood. Monitors have come along in those 10 years - we were sent the Summer Infant Wide View 2.0 Digital Color Video Monitor for our recent MK Baby Brunch and I was blown away with all the features.

Some of my favorite features were :

The Monitor- Not only was the picture beautiful, colorful, clear and sharp, but it was a great size. The monitor is a little larger then your standard smart phone and the screen is almost the entire size. I love this because you can see the image of your (hopefully sleeping) baby from a bit of a distance . One of the best features of the Summer Infant Wide View Digital Video Baby Monitor is Digital Zoom. By using the digital zoom feature you can get a closer look of your baby on your handheld 5″ baby monitor. With just a touch of a button, you can zoom in to watch baby sleeping or catch a precious moment as they are waking up. With automatic night vision you can see your baby day and night, including overnight. The infrared LEDs automatically adjust to the level of light in the room and transmit a clear black and white image in low light and darkened room conditions.

The Camera - The wide view lens technology enables parents to see 4x more of baby’s crib/nursery, which comes in handy when little ones start moving around and trying to get out of their crib. The camera also doubles as a soft glow night light to help soothe your baby while sleeping. You can add more cameras (up to 4 total) to monitor different rooms on the same screen . The cameras auto scan between rooms.

Two-Way Communication- With two-way communication, you can calm your baby with the sound of your voice or talk to your baby. Your voice is projected through the camera in your baby’s room by speaking into the handheld baby monitor, so that you can give comfort to your baby. This feature would have made such a difference in our family when we where trying to teach them how to sleep.

The Summer Infant Wide View 2.0 Digital Color Video Monitor sells for $149.99 and we think it is a top pick for your baby registry .
