California Pizza Kitchen (CPK), the authority in creative dining with a California vibe, announced the arrival of its new “Next Chapter” menu and contemporary new look at its Marina del Rey, Calif., location, celebrating its 25th anniversary this month. With a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients, inventive main plates, hand-crafted cocktails and customizable Lunch Duos alongside CPK classic favorites, the new and expanded menu and updated décor are part of CPK’s transformational “Next Chapter” initiative, currently rolling out to CPK locations nationwide.

In celebration of its milestone 25th anniversary and new look and menu, CPK Marina del Rey is treating guests to:
- Double rewards for CPK’s Pizza Dough Rewards loyalty program members from Monday, Jan. 25 through Sunday, Jan. 31.
- An in-restaurant raffle on Friday, Jan. 29 with a variety of fun prizes including a CPKids party, office catering and a delicious dinner for two.
- Pizza Dough Members are also invited to join in on the celebration on Thursday, Jan. 28 and Friday, Jan. 29 with free butter cake and ice cream from 3 – 6 p.m. with the purchase of an entrée.
Globally inspired flavors, from small plates to mains
The restaurant’s “Next Chapter” menu includes CPK classics like the iconic Original BBQ Chicken Pizza, with new options in mains, appetizers, salads, sides and seasonal dishes. Highlights of CPK’s new menu include a Fire-Grilled Ribeye cooked with housemade pinot noir sea salt, topped with creamy bleu cheese butter and served with roasted fingerling potatoes and lemon-garlic wild arugula salad. Another new favorite is the Hearth-Roasted Halibut, wild caught from Alaska and roasted on a cedar plank with butternut squash farro, grilled asparagus and baby kale.
Seasonal offerings include the Brussels + Bacon Flatbread, with roasted brussels sprouts with Nueske’s Applewood-smoked bacon, sweet caramelized onions and creamy goat cheese atop hand-stretched dough; the Harvest Kale Salad, with tender baby kale, fresh Bosc pears, roasted butternut squash, spiced pecans, goat cheese and cranberries; and the Sunny Side Up Bacon + Potato Pizza, with Nueske’s Applewood-smoked bacon, caramelized leeks, parmesan and mozzarella cheeses and two fresh sunny-side up eggs.
Craft cocktails, craft brews and premium wines
CPK’s new hand-crafted cocktails feature premium alcohols with fresh fruit purees and herbs. New offerings include the California Roots, made with fresh avocado, shaken smooth with Svedka vodka, mint and agave sour, with a fennel salt rim; and the Blueberry Ginger Smash, with fresh muddled blueberries, lime and cranberry with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Domaine de Canton Ginger.
The new wine list includes California premium wines like Buena Vista, Mark West, Sonoma-Cutrer and CPK’s custom blend by KOZ. Customers also can pair their favorite CPK meals with craft beers, such as 805 Blonde Ale and St. Archer Pale Ale.
Picking up the pace with new Lunch Duos
For a quick and satisfying lunch, CPK is introducing Lunch Duos, where guests can pair lunch-sized versions of a favorite pizza or sandwich and a soup or salad. Lunch Duos give guests a great value, with more than 80 fresh, made-to-order options to mix, match and enjoy in the middle of their time-challenged days.
Modern, rustic design with a focus on sustainable materials
Sustainable materials are a guiding factor in the Next Chapter design. The warm, rustic décor features oak floors, tabletops and chairs made from reclaimed wood, stone countertops, fabrics and design elements made from recycled materials, a natural herb garden and artwork that celebrates local landmarks in Marina del Rey. The centerpiece of CPK Marina del Rey is the open kitchen, where guests can watch menu items prepared from scratch and artisan pizzas hand-tossed in the air before baking in the open-hearth oven.
