Macaroni Kid loves SHOES!
Question: What could be better than a night of sipping fine wines, sampling a delectable array of bites from the city’s hottest restaurants and shopping?
Answer: Feeling good about supporting an incredibly worthwhile cause!!
Women Wine & Shoes will be holding its 4th Annual Women, Wine & Shoes event to benefit the Children’s Action Network so grab a friend and come channel your inner Carrie Bradshaw for a night!
Who does this benefit? Children’s Action Network (CAN) is dedicated to finding homes for the 101,000 foster children in the United Sates who are waiting for adoptive families. Jennifer Perry, CAN’s incredible Executive Director, says that their mission is 1) to improve the outcomes for the children and families in the foster-care system, and 2) to change our perception of what these amazing children are really like. This is powerfully evident by watching any one of the dozen-plus videos on CAN’s website that give us a true glimpse into the hearts and minds of these beautiful children. Directed by some of the most sought after filmmakers in Hollywood, these films will forever change what you know and how you feel about these children who are hoping to find their forever families.

How can we help? Buying a ticket to this event helps raise crucial funds for CAN. This year the event will be held at a private resident in Santa Monica. The $150 ticket price covers an evening of sampling wine from around the country (Sip!), savoring bites from some of LA’s finest restaurants like Westside Tavern and Blue Plate Oysterette (Yum!) and shopping the event boutique featuring the latest in shoes and accessories from super-hot stores like Madison, Beverly Hills and Stacey Todd (Fun!) You can also enter for a chance to win the “Key To The Closet” – a dream closet filled with thousands of dollars worth of luxury gifts, accessories and beauty treatments. (Amazing!)
Tickets are available now for the May 6th event (6-9pm) so grab a girlfriend and come support a spectacular cause! Macaroni Kid will see you there!
