Fitness by the Sea has locations in Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades in the Los Angeles area and has positively impacted over 18,000 children in the past 15 years. Founded in 2000, we are the oldest and largest beach day camp in Southern California and have been called the ‘safest beach camp’ by the Chief of the Los Angeles County Lifeguards.
We offer over 80 different activities all rotating on a daily basis to create a fun outdoor adventure each and every day. The variety of activities offered creates the perfect camp for every different type of child – allowing them to discover new interests and improve skills in old favorites. We are truly 5 camps in 1 with tons of activities in Team Sports, Individual Sports, Water Activities, Creative Activities, and Theme Days. We offer two camps in Pacific Palisades and two in Santa Monica. The Pacific Palisades location is our largest camp and serves ages 5 – 14. The Palisades North location is a smaller camp specializing in younger children ages 4 – 9. They are both located at Will Rogers State Beach. Our Santa Monica location is a mid-sized camp for campers ages 5 – 14. Also located in Santa Monica is our Jonathan Club Camp serving members and sponsored guests ages 4 – 14.
We offer the ease of on-line enrollment along with extremely flexible scheduling options. There is a 5 day minimum enrollment for the summer, however, the days do not need to be consecutive or in the same week. After the initial 5 day minimum is fulfilled, enrollment is available on a day-by-day basis.
Camp Specialty:
- Water Activities- surfing, boogie boarding, swimming, skim boarding
- Team Sports- soccer, basketball,baseball, flag football, dodge ball, capture the flag,
- Creative Activities- dance, arts and crafts, yoga, nature walks, theater games, magic
- Individual Sports- gymnastics, martial arts, cheerleading, fencing, boxing
- Theme Days- Super Hero, Circus Day, Knights and Princesses, Animal Planet, Halloween.
