ALVIIIIIN and the Chipmunks are back in a fun family movie that opens Friday. Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip has Alvin, Simon and Theodore following Dave (Jason Lee) and new girlfriend (Kimberly Williams Paisley) from Los Angeles to Miami. The Chipmunks are afraid they are losing Dave but more afraid that Dave is going to propose. They like Dave’s new girlfriend but not her teenage son Miles (Josh Green). The Chipmunks and Miles do not get along so they decide to team up to travel to Miami to stop the proposal so they don’t have to be brothers
As you can image, a cross county trip with 3 chipmunks and 1 teenage boy doesn’t go as smoothly as planned, especially when you have special TSA agent Benson (Tony Hale) after you. My husband and I love everything Tony Hale does (Arrested Development and VIP) and he is great in this movie too as the over the top, revenge seeking special agent who is always one step behind. There are some hilarious mishaps along the way including a detour in New Orleans. 
The movie is fast past and fun, and, it wouldn’t be a chipmunk movie without lots of music. Redfoo (LMFAO) makes an appearance in the movie and plays his hit Juicy Wiggle, (which will have you dancing in your seat) . Under all the mischief and craziness is heart. The film is really all about family and all the different ways people (or chipmunks) can come together to be a family. My kids loved the movie and I really like it too. We had a great time at the red carpet premiere and after party. We got to meet Redfoo, Jason Long, (the voice of Alvin) , Bella Thorne, Tony Hale, and of course the Alvin, Simon and Theodore.

The movie opens Friday, Dec 18 and is rated PG.
