Macaroni Kid Review: Outdoor Explorer Toys

August 16, 2012
In week 2 of our review of Uncle Milton's newest National Geographic Outdoor Explorer toys, we got to play with toys perfect for nighttime fun.

We had fun playing with the  Expedition Sky Flare (see photo below). It is similar to the Earth Tag toy that we reviewed last week. The toy is recommended for ages 8 and up and I think that is correct. The boys had fun chasing after the illuminated flare, but their hands were too small to hold and pull the device at the same time.

We also spent some time collecting nature and bugs with the High Sierra Eco Explorer Kit (see above photo). The kit includes tweezers to pick up your treasures and a magnifying jar to study them in. It also comes with a light that you can attach to the container kit or wear as a headlamp (I'm still trying to figure out how to attach the lamp the the headband, but once I do, I'm sure the boys will be wearing this all the time).
