While most counseling centers are government-funded and geared to only low income, poverty stricken populations, Well Baby Center opens its doors to any family in the community. We are also privately funded, offering sliding-scale services as well as accepting insurance plans. We encourage families with young children to use WBC to the fullest by both joining a parenting group where they can meet other parents as well as getting family or individual counseling for what we recognize as the significant and often troublesome changes that becoming parents incurs in an individual's life. We like to think of our center as "holding the whole family" because we provide a diversity of services -- from renting our outdoor play yard for birthday celebrations to free drop in parent-child groups, from parenting classes to in-depth counseling services offered at low fees and provided by expertly trained child and family counselors.
All our classes and services are provided on a sliding fee scale based on their ability to pay. For example, our popular Mindful Parenting, Mindful Pregnancy, and Loving Discipline Mindfulness-Based Classes range anywhere from $5 to $40 based on a client's income level. This applies to our counseling fees as well, where we base our fees on what is affordable to the client and ranges from $20 - $150 a session, including a full developmental assessment of the child or a clinical assessment for an adult
