HOME Opens March 27th

On March 27th The Boov will invade Earth and take over your children for an hour and 1/2 of fun. HOME, starring Jim Parsons, Rihanna, Steve Martin and Jennifer Lopez, is the story of Oh, a lovable misfit from another planet who lands on Earth and finds himself on the run from his own people. He forms an unlikely friendship with an adventurous girl named Tip who is on a quest of her own. Through a series of comic adventures with Tip, Oh comes to understand that being different and making mistakes is all part of being human, and together they discover the true meaning of the word HOME.
We were invited to the Purple Carpet premiere in Westwood over the weekend. Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna looked out of this world gorgeous and had fun hanging with the Boov. Rihanna brought her adorable little niece who got to try out the one-of-a-kind Slushy-moblie.

My boys really enjoyed HOME. The scenes with Oh and Tip becoming friends and learning about each other were their favorites. I mean can any kid resist dancing, singing and bathroom humor? I thought the Steve Martin scenes were great - his Captain Smek is a character straight out of SNL.

When the kids and I were talking about the movie afterwards - what they thought was important and what they learned - the list was a mile long. They talked about how it was important to be brave and try to new things, to not give up, that family is very important and that families can be different. My 4 year old pointed out that " you can't just take things".
