Easter Cookies

We had so much fun making these adorable Easter egg cookies last year that I thought I would share with you all.

 

My Mom's Sugar Cookie Recipe

 

Preheat oven 375 degrees

Cream the following ingredients:

1C Butter

1C Sugar

3 Eggs

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

 

Mix the following ingredients in a separate bowl:

 

3 C. Flour

2 tsp Baking Powder

1/2 tsp Salt

 

Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the creamed ingredients. 

 

Roll up dough into plastic wrap and chill. (DON'T SKIP THIS STEP)

 

Remove chilled dough from fridge, roll out onto well floured surface and cut into shapes.

 

Bake cookies on cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes depending on how thick your cookies are.

 

Allow to cool completely before decorating.

 

To decorate, I used the frosting tip I already had, BUT, there is a frosting tip called "Grass/Fur" that would look super cute! Then just top with M&M Easter chocolate eggs!

 

Also, you could of course do this with pre-made sugar cookie dough, I won't judge you. :)
