I took over publishing Santa Monica Macaroni Kid in December of 2009 and I love my job. Not only to I get to stay home with my 2 boys (not that we are ever home) but I get to meet and work with all the wonderful business owners, teachers, entertainers, designers, and parents that make our community so special. The creativity and passion that I have been  able to work with these past two years are amazing and pushes me to really stand behind the products and events that we promote on the site.

Since I  live in town I really have a connection to my readers. Some are old friends other are new, and some I will never meet face to face, but these parents & caregivers trust me and my opinions which I take to heart when writing and posting. I get such a rush when we are out at a class or event and mom comes up to tell me that they heard about it on my site, or how they love Macaroni Kid and that it has made their life easier and more fun. One of my proudest moments was when we were at a packed class for one of my advertisers and she asked  everyone“how did you hear about the class” and all but 2 had come because of Macaroni Kid. The teacher and I exchanged a smile and I knew I was doing something right!
